Submit a nomination for the Summit Awards
The Awards Committee for the Summit for Urban Animal Strategies is now inviting nominations for the 2010 Summit Awards. The Summits are presented annually to individuals, organizations, and communities that have achieved the recognition of their peers for proficiency or achievement in the award areas. It is the only awards ceremony in Canada to recognize excellence within all four sectors of the companion animal industry [Animal Control & Legislative Enforcement, Animal Welfare, Animal Services and Animal Health & Wellness].
The Awards Committee is pleased to announce three new categories: Compliance, Recovery and Retailer. By recognizing these new areas of excellence this will paint a truer picture of the Canadian pet industry.
The Summit recognize excellence in:
- Compliance
- Recovery
- Retailer
- Adoption
- Sheltering
- Wellness
- Distinguished Service Provider
- Collaboration
- Education
- Media and Communications
- Individual Achievement
- Lifetime Achievement
The Summit Award criteria have been refined - full category descriptions are available on the SUAS website. Review them and nominate a deserving peer in your community. The procedure is simple and online.
We invite you to consider the achievements and accomplishments your colleagues and collaborators enjoyed this year and nominate them for a 2010 Summit. Your recognition of their success will help identify strategies that are building healthy communities for pets and people right across the country and encourage them to keep climbing toward their own personal Summit.
